Accommodation Tips for Attending ISLPED TPC Meeting at SFSU Campus on 5/11/2013

TPC Meeting Location and Directions

Cesar Chavez Student Center at SFSU Campus: State Drive, San Francisco, CA 94132
Meeting rooms: Rosa Parks rooms at the lower conference level of the Cesar Chavez Student Center.

The agenda for the TPC meeting will be roughly:

• 08:00-09:00 Registration and breakfast (Rosa Park A-C)
• 09:00-09:15 Opening remark by Chairs (Rosa Park A-C)
• 09:15-12:00 Breakout Review Meetings (see list below)
• 12:00-13:00 Lunch (Rosa Park A-C)
• 13:00-15:00 Wrapping up Review Meetings (back to breakout rooms)
• 15:00-16:00 Organizational Issues, Special Sessions, etc (Rosa Park A-C)

The subcommittees will meet in the following rooms

• Track 1.1: Room Rosa Park D (lower conference level)
• Track 1.2: Room Rosa Park E (lower conference level)
• Track 1.3: Room Rosa Park F (lower conference level)
• Track 2.1: Room T-152 (third floor)
• Track 2.2: Room T-160 (third floor)
• Track 2.3: Room T-153 (third floor)

Organizing Committee Meeting: Friday 5/10, 3pm-6pm, Room 256 in Science Building (SCI-256)

Wifi access info: Will be provided at the registration desk.

If driving, please drive to State Drive, San Francisco, CA 94132 and proceed to the parking garage building. You need to pay the $6.00 parking fee at a pay station. YOU MUST HAVE EXACT CHANGE, Pay stations will accept quarter, $1, $5 and $10 bills.

Street parking: If you prefer to look for free street parking, there should be plenty of parking available on streets around the campus, including 19th Ave, Winston Drive, and Holloway Ave. However, please read signs carefully to avoid ticketing.

Staying in Downtown San Francisco

San Francisco State University can be reached by many hotels in downtown San Francisco by the Muni light rail on the M line going outbound. We recommend staying at a hotel in walking distance of a Muni light rail station. Check out the links below for some google maps showing hotels and example trips to SFSU.

Staying by San Francisco International

Airport: If you’d like to stay near SFO, this is also quite convenient.  Although farther away, you can see that the estimated trip time by car is quite short.  Trips are shown directly from SFO.

Staying in the South Bay

If you choose to stay in south bay area, the best way to reach the SFSU campus would be to drive. Please drive to State Drive, San Francisco, CA 94132 which takes you directly to the parking garage.

Of course there are other options as well, but these are some easy ones.
