Transportation
The following tickets can be purchased in metro stations and online:
- A single ticket costs 2.40€ and is only valid for one ride (that means you can change the buses/tram/Metro/SBahn, but it is not allowed to take a break in between).
- A day ticket costs 5.80€ and is valid for one day on the stated date until 01:00 am on the following day on all public transport services in Vienna.
- Tickets for 24, 48, or 72 hours cost 8€, 14.10€, and 17.10€, respectively.
- A seven day ticket costs 17.10€.
To get from the airport to the city of Vienna:
- The train S7 or other OEBB trains (such as RJX and RJ) cost 1.90€ in addition to the ticket valid in Vienna. Paying for a single ride, including the Vienna public transportation ticket, costs 4.30€. You can purchase the tickets at the train station or online.
- City Airport Train costs 14.90€ one way and 24.90€ return. The train is more expensive than the other but not really faster. You can purchase the tickets at the airport or online .
- A taxi ride from the airport should cost around 36€.
Hotels
We suggest using booking.com to make your hotel reservation. The closest hotels around the venue are "Hotel Kaiserhof Wien" and "Hotel Johann Strauss," but there are many other hotels within walking distance, which might be cheaper. Just check out the map on booking.com
