The International Symposium on Low Power Electronics and Design (ISLPED) is the premier forum for presentation of recent advances in all aspects of low power design and technologies, ranging from process and circuit technologies, to simulation and synthesis tools, to system level design and optimization.

Design Contest (closed)

Call for Design Contest The International Low Power Design Contest provides a forum for universities to showcase original “power-aware” designs and to highlight the design innovations targeting power efficiency improvement. The goal is to encourage and highlight design-oriented approaches for power reduction.

Submissions must present proof-of-implementation in the form of silicon chip, board or system photographs and measurement data etc. An entry purely focusing on optimization techniques/algorithms/tools/simulations is not suitable for the contest.

Instructions for Submitting a Design Contest Entry

• Submit PDF here for anonymous review. The 4-6 page manuscript should follow the ACM Proceedings format as regular ISLPED conference papers. It should contain the title of the project, a 60-word abstract and a complete description of the design.

• Download the Cover Letter doc|tex, fill out the info with the statement “All appropriate organizational approvals for the publication of this paper have been obtained. If accepted, the author(s) will select a designated speaker to present the paper at the Symposium”. SAVE THE COVER AS A PDF FILE.

• Send the cover to BOTH Design Contest Chairs: Chia-Lin Yang and Yiran Chen

Technical Paper Submission (closed)

Papers should be submitted online. Submissions should be full-length papers of 6 pages (double-column format, using ACM SIG Proceedings templates), including all illustrations, tables, references and an abstract of no more than 100 words. Papers exceeding the six-page limit will not be reviewed. Electronic submission in pdf format only via the web is required. Submitted papers will undergo double-blind reviews.

Important notes:

• Submissions must be anonymous : papers identifying the authors will be automatially rejected
• IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is accepted but not presented at the conference.
